PASSKEY PILOT — PARTICIPANT MESSAGE

Replace the bracketed fields before sending.

We will test a passkey for [work account] on [date and time], using Microsoft Authenticator on your iPhone and [approved application].

Before the session, update Authenticator, confirm your iOS version and keep your current sign-in method available. The administrator will confirm the account and device requirements.

We will guide you through creating the passkey directly in Authenticator, selecting it as a passkey provider, and signing in to the approved application from a separate browser session.

For a laptop sign-in, use the iPhone Camera app to scan the passkey QR shown by the sign-in you personally started. Both devices need Bluetooth and internet access.

If a spare compatible iPhone is available, a separate recovery exercise will use that device while the original phone stays secure and unused. Without a spare device, we will leave that exercise pending. Do not remove existing credentials until the administrator confirms successful replacement access and cleanup.

Enter passwords, temporary access codes and device verification only in the Microsoft or device interfaces. Do not send them, or live sign-in QR codes, in chat or screenshots.

If a prompt is unexpected, stop and contact [verified support channel]. You can keep your normal Windows working session open.
